There comes a season in life when the noise quiets just enough for you to hear your own footsteps again. After years spent raising our children, building homes, weathering challenges, and celebrating milestones, Maureen and I wanted to create a space where we could reflect on our experiences and invite others to do the same. With Two Coasts for Comfort, we hope to explore and honor the transitions that shape us, the detours we never planned to take, and the people and places that enter our lives and change us in ways both great and small.

With this gentler pace, travel has become a central part of my life - not as an escape, but as an opportunity to understand it more fully. Along the way, I began documenting the faces, places, and special moments that reminded me how beautifully connected we all are. Message in a Bottle is my way of capturing those moments before they slip back into the tide. It’s a collection of photographs, stories, and practical tips intended to inspire discovery, whether across the globe or around the corner. My hope is that it encourages you to consider the journeys you’ve already taken and the ones you’re still learning how to live.
